Essential updates Android P Dev Preview to new Beta

Essential Phone
The Essential Phone was one of the few devices that was blessed with the Android P Developer Preview. This is the first year any device outside of Google’s own lineup got a developer preview of the next Android version.
Google released the latest version of Android P for its own devices, coming in at Beta 2, and Essential joins  in with its own Android P software update. Devices already running Android P can now be updated from the older Developer Preview to the latest Beta.
This update includes the June security patches, the latest Android P has to offer (which should include the final Android P APIs), improved adaptive brightness, and bug fixes. Early reports claim that the broken WiFi hotspot is now fixed, as well as problems with Facebook-related apps like Instagram and Messenger. If you’re still on Oreo, you’ll need to sideload the software, but if you’re on Android P you can just download the OTA update through settings!
