If you have been testing the Android P beta, and have been looking forward to a new release, then the wait is over.
Google officially released the newest preview for Android P today, Developer Preview 3. This particular release includes final APIs for developers, which means they can test final versions of their apps ahead of the public launch later this year. There doesn’t appear to be any major specific new additions specifically designed for the third developer preview, though. So no new surprises this time around.
The new software also likely includes bug fixes and other behind-the-scenes improvements for good measure.
When Android P launches sometime in the third quarter of this year, it will bring with it a new gesture-based navigation, support for display notches, and a digital wellbeing feature that will let you keep tabs on the apps you use and how often you use your phone, among other things.
Are you looking forward to the public launch of Android P?
